Viva Recreation can help you with your Playground

Our aim is to assist clients to create the best playground possible within their budget based on our knowledge of children’s play, an understanding of the site and the users, selection of appropriate products, our knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards, an understanding of the landscape design process, and an understanding of landscape construction methods. Viva Recreation’s Play Consultants receive training in the above aspects of playground design and we have design professionals on staff to assist the Play Consultants in the design process and the design documentation.

Our playground design methodology includes the following:

Analysis of the brief to ensure we fully understand the clients’ requirements and the users of the playground.

Site Analysis including identification of existing features, services location, any existing drainage issues, existing shade, site access etc. The Play Consultant will visit the site to undertake this analysis. The Play Consultant will also look at the gradient of the site, aesthetics, landscape characteristics, and the surroundings to be considered.

The Design Concept will then be developed including the selection of appropriate equipment, the layout of equipment, selection of playground surfacing and edging, the selection of any other required playground features such as fencing, shade and park furniture. The Design Concept will be discussed in consultation with the company’s Senior Designer and the client, documentation will be then be prepared and presented.

On acceptance of Viva Recreation’s playground design we are ready to construct your playground. We look forward to discussing our playground products and services in more detail with you at the Landscape Expo Sydney.
